QUI È ALTROVE è una esposizione di lavori dedicati a Villa Pamphili e pensati appositamente per gli spazi della biblioteca Villino Corsini, del circuito comunale Biblioteche di Roma, nella quale vengono ospitate.
Sono opere che nascono dalla frequentazione della Villa nel corso degli anni e dalla conseguente confidenza che permette all'artista di prendere spunto dai meravigliosi scorci reali per crearne di nuovi appartenenti forse ad altri regni.
Sperimentando tecniche e provando materiali diversi Sabina Zocchi fa fronte alle sue più recenti esigenze espressive e allestisce una mostra che si arricchisce di stimoli sensoriali, grazie alla diffusione sonora di citazioni letterarie (Stendhal, Merleau-Ponty, Berger, Jullien, Noe) e al dialogo con la luce naturale che filtra dalle finestre delle sale della biblioteca affacciate sulla Villa, modificando la percezione ottica nel corso della giornata.
THIS IS ELSEWHERE is an exhibition of works dedicated to Villa Pamphilj and conceived specifically for the spaces of Villino Corsini, now home to one of Rome municipal libraries.
This project carries along the outcomes of a long acquaintance of the artist with the Villa, its views, its seasonal metamorphosis and its sounds, thereby gaining a familiarity that allows her to draw inspiration and create new landscapes, somehow connected with other realms.
By experimenting with techniques and different materials, Sabina Zocchi meets her most recent expressive needs and sets up an exhibition that is enriched with sensorial stimuli, with a double-track sound diffusion with literary quotations (Stendhal, Merleau-Ponty, Berger, Jullien, Noe) and by engaging a dialogue with the natural light that enters the windows of the library rooms and modifies the view and atmosphere throughout the day.
